Bollywood Actor Imran Khan enjoys with underprivileged children of Aakanksha at St Stanislaus school of Bandra in Mumbai on Tuesday, 14 April 2009. Imran’s day out with the kids . That Bollywood has a heart of gold is well known; Imran Khan teenage heart throb delivered a few endearing smiles and heartwarming hugs at Aakanksha today; Imran had come there for the underprivileged children. He truly showed how we had a heart of gold as he took questions from the children; gave them autographs and was happy to interact with them.
Imran, modest as ever was content to spend time with the children as they did their best to showcase their skills to him. Imran said , “its always a pleasure to spend time with children and this is an absolutely divine experience; I am here to tell these children to work hard and believe in themselves and that education is extremely important; I would like to do a lot more for the children.”
At the event Samsonite handed over a cheque to Aakanksha Sudip Ghose, Marketing Head of Samsonite said, “Samsonite has always been a socially responsible company; last year we did an interesting activity with the kids of Aseema, where the kids had made paintings with the help of some references provided by Samsonite. We also developed a campaign using these paintings which were later auctioned off and the proceeds went to Aseema; and this year we are donating a part of our sale proceeds to Aakanksha, to support the education of underpriveledged children. We are extremely grateful to Imran for coming here as he has bought a smile to the faces of the children here”
