The friendly friends guy swept my heart away and why he could not go beyond the mischievous human pixie named Chandler is because well, I never wanted him to. His image as the naughty chief in the series was so deeply etched in my mind that my loyalty towards him meant spending my savings to get everything that was Chandler and everywhere. That perhaps is the biggest reason why I almost missed out on his extremely lovable movie ‘Fools Rush In’. Alex Whitman (Matthew Perry) is a New Yorker sent to Las Vegas to oversee a construction project. There he meets Isabel Fuentes (Salma Hayek) and sparks flew even before they could realize. A brief moment lead to another and the passion grew to an extent that it caught them unawares. So much so that in the heat of the moment they both consummate, a mistake which to an unplanned pregnancy. Being the nice guy the Alex is he proposes Isabella when he gets to know about her pregnancy. However, there's more to marriage than a Vegas chapel and an Elvis impersonator, as Alex and Isabel soon learn. A mistake in a way and then not really, because every mistake is not what it seems to be always and there is a surprise always lurking behind waiting for the right time to come to reveal itself. The movie is beautiful romantic comedy and all those Chandler fans will not miss it in the least considering 109 minutes of non-stop fun involving the prankster we all had come to know so well. The movie is no less in offering the best of Matthew a.k.a. Chandler and also shows Salma in a role that has been essayed beautifully.
