Listen…we have to watch rock on okay…I told my friend ( after having told 4 groups of friends already!) and she said "I'm not going to watch a bunch of people hurling insults on 'rock' music"! I was taken aback with this remark because I was expecting a 'we-have-to-bunk-classes' look but this did not happen. So I resorted to group 2 and fixed up the place and time with them. My expectations were sky high and I was just waiting for the Dolby digital ad to end and the lights to be turned off. As soon as the movie started, I sat awe struck, gaping at the four guys (Purab Kohli's braided goatee is so adorable!) stomping my foot and swaying to the absolutely stunning music.

Ignoring the annoying kid behind me who must have asked at least two thousand and thirty eight times "mamma movie khatam kab hogi" I watched each scene, each act, each moment thinking this one was 'the best' and re-considering it and revising my statement after every few seconds. If you've ever had friends you thought meant the world to you (I mean I'm hoping you are not the loser who has written "books are my best friends") you have to watch this one. If you've ever fought and quarrelled and then cried silently ducking your head in your pillow- this one is for you. If you've picked up your phone to call them up and disconnected the call before you heard their irritating caller tone- this one is for you. If you've shared the glint in your eyes and the dream of being 'up there' this one is for you. Felt the dream slipping away? Moving your separate ways deciding never to look back and yet thinking of your friends you left behind… bumping into these lost ones and hugging them so tight that it made you forget everything, is what this movie talks about.

A riveting story about four friends- Farhan Akhtar (Aditya Shroff), Purab Kohli (KD), Arjun Rampal (Joe), Luke Kenny (rob) and their rock band called 'magik'. They share their lives and promise to keep magik alive but things are not so rosy and differences brew up between them after they have grabbed an opportunity of a lifetime. They soon scatter and spill around to take on their professional lives. Their dull and drab lives are soon rejuvenated after Sakshi (Prachi Desai) unlocks their treasure chest of memories and pictures. They meet again and Magik reunites. Their lives take a new, unexpected turn and what follows is a blend of happiness, sadness, victory, loss, obstacles, achievements, fun and learning.

The simplicity of the tale and the intensity with which it is told makes it a masterpiece. The characters are so close to life that they'd often remind you of yourself or someone close to you. Portrayed with so much conviction and perfection, they remain etched in your memory long after you've left the theatre.

its fabulous and amazing movie....everyone looks rocking Farhan and Arjun looks fantastic .....their roles acting are too gud.....everyone in this movie is fantastic like music and lyrics....and last but not the least Farhan's singing is mind blowing...

A Nice movie, it was good to see a whole lot of friends in it. Though, this is not the reason I'm commenting here, the reason is - I've read a lot of reviews on Iexplorehere and this article is so messed up that it has you wondering - Is this the Rock On Review or Rene's day out review - and more importantly is she on drugs - Reason being she is as vague and jumpy in this review as a Fish out of water - Nice Movie, bad Review.

Life rocks as someone says and this movie has proved it again......Rock is old as most people(OLD?) now know and it is about life. It is mysterious, Melodius, passionate, emotional,adrenaline and so much more that it it is hard to write. We experience it and this movie has come after a long time when we left the theatres emotional. Thanks to Magic for making a movie which will rock for ages to come. cheers
