CRASH is one of my favorite movies ever! The movie is a series of stories interwoven together and I have a personal bias for this movie. I cannot fathom how people can dislike this movie. SO this is a MUST WATCH movie if you ask me.

The movie works on the basic principle of how in each one of there is a good and bad. The movie explores this like no other. It will make you think…and think really hard for sure. It breaks down the notions of bigotry and stereotypes. The characters transform and change shades from heavy to hero to tragic in a way that is deeply moving and disturbing at times. It is hyper-drama style of writing where different groups of characters and plots interweave (Paul Haggis) but with none of the limits that we encounter in cinema.

I am a Don Cheadle fan and he captures the role he has been given perfectly. Sandra Bullock plays against character and pulls it off with ease. The most impressive performance to me came from Ryan Phillippe's. There is a barrage of brilliant scenes- the little girl rescuing her father, the daughter replacing the bullet, the freeing of the Asians.

The movie will move you, it will bring tears to your eyes it’s that good its MAGICAL.
It explores the social, the psychological and the physical. It raises questions on power, race, and status and how equality and freedom are but farces of the modern world and the modern man.

Almost every nationality in LA was represented and all their anxieties, fears came out subtly but brilliantly. The cast and plots blend together and keep your interest, trust me on this one there is not a single dull moment in the movie. The cast is great, the music is haunting and perfectly apt, and the writing is superb I mean what screenplay.

Go see this movie and if you don’t well it’s your loss.

Crash Trivia

- Before Ryan Phillippe signed on, Heath Ledger was in talks for the role of Hansen.

- Sandra Bullock was so committed to appearing in this film, that she bought her own plane ticket to fly to the set.

- One of the things that inspired the movie was that Paul Haggis was carjacked himself.

- John Cusack was the original choice for the role of District Attorney Rick Cabot, which eventually went to Brendan Fraser.

"Ensemble features can be daunting, yet some filmmakers embrace the challenge, and their results reward an audience. A lot of characters are woven into the tapestry of Crash, the feature directing debut of TV veteran Paul Haggis..."

Wow. Not good. I mean at all. I keep seeing all of these 8 to 10 star ratings and wonder what kind of mindless cineretards we've become. Mindless garble beginning to end. Contrived to the point to where it was actually physically making me ill I thought every thing was going to fly at the TV like in the cable commercial because it downright sucked so bad. The only decent acting was Matt Dillon, and that takes a lot since I don't really like him either. I wish there was a rating less than one star. I would sad that it was horrible, but horri was all I could get out before I throw up. So since I hated it so much, why did I keep watching it. The folks who were in it, and that's it. I wanted to see what they could pull off to salvage such a mess.
