Who would think that 13 years had passed since the first time this jodi came together? At that time, the director was merely the scion of a great filmmaking family and the star was best known for taking on negative roles that no one else would. Then the magic they conjured up in their first film together, redefined Hindi cinema and set them on their respective paths to the heights of glory. Now 13 years after Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge first took the country by storm, and eight years after Mohabbatein, the jodi of Aditya Chopra, superstar director, and Shah Rukh Khan, superstar actor were together again, this time for the latest from Aditya Chopra as director, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi with newcomer Anushka Sharma who joined in on the first day of shoot. And it was evident that Shah Rukh Khan was approaching this new role with his old comrade, with as much gusto and passion as ever.

Yash Raj Films have finally revealed the first teaser of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Our first comment... we love it!!! Although you might have never expected to see SRK or the first poster of Rab ne Bana Di Jodi this way, it's truly awesome and has got so much of depth to it. The tag line of the movie goes "There is an Extra Ordinary Love Story in every Jodi".... which is catchy, funny and has a romantic feel to it. Although most of us were expecting Shahrukh romancing Anushka in Switzerland in the first poster, the teaser is different and good too! It now makes us wonder what the story actually could be. Shahrukh is seen wearing a faded shirt, with a bad pair of trousers and completely awful shoes... probably his worst on-screen look till date. But we do know that he's got another dashing look in the movie which we can't wait to see. In short, Adi is a Genius and we love his work!

It may have been the year of Akshay Kumar but that's only so far...No amount of marketing hype and multi-crore deals might match up to the anticipation levels for a Yashraj-SRK film. Shot in a record time (the movie was launched in May), the movie looks like Aditya Chopra's way of taking charge of ending his banner's lukewarm spell at the box-office. On Friday morning we spotted a standee of the film being rolled out at a multiplex. And just one look of the poster is enough to get you curious about Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Firstly it is not set in the Swiss Alps or Manhattan. And the leading lady – whose face is hidden by the way, is dressed in a simple salwar, not in a chiffon sari. But the real surprise is Shah Rukh Khan who is not on a Harley Davidson sporting designer glasses and jackets. If Chak De! India was simple, here he is wearing formal grey trousers, an over-sized white shirt and unbranded sports shoes. Behind him is a scooter parked in what looks like a street in a north Indian suburb. But with reports of a lavish song featuring the top five actresses with Shah Rukh being shot, one is sure the film will have enough doses of glamour to balance the simplicity. Both of Aditya Chopra's films had their taglines featuring very prominently on the posters. So, if DDLJ was 'Come fall in love' and Mohabbatein was 'Some love stories live forever' this time it is 'There is an extraordinary love story in every jodi'. The film opens worldwide on DecEMBER 12, 2008.
