Raaz - the Mystery Continues, directed by Mohit Suri, is a 2009 horror movie starring Emraan Hashmi and Kangana Ranaut in the lead pairs taking over from Bipasha Basu and Dino Morea. However, it is not a sequel to the 2002 movie Raaz.
Raaz - The Mystery Continues deals with issues of the “evil within” the human psyche and how it manifests itself.The film is on same lines like the hollywood blockbuster The Omen but it is not a remake. It is based on the myths and superstitions that are still widely existent in the contemporary Indian society. The film attempts to challenge one’s beliefs about paranormal phenomena. It is about anticipation of fear and the fright residing within ones’ self. Emraan Hashmi plays a painter, named Prithvi, who has a extraordinary gift. The paintings tell Kangana Ranaut's future.
