Sunny Deol Born as Ajay Singh Deol in New Delhi , India. He is a National Film Awards winning film actor of Punjabi descent. He has two sons Rajveer Singh and Ranveer Singh.
Sunny Deol was born in New Delhi, India, to veteran actor Dharmendra and Prakash Kaur. He has a younger brother, Bobby Deol, who is also an actor; two sisters who are settled in California; and two half-sisters, Esha Deol, an actress and Ahana Deol, from his father's Second marriage to actress Hema Malini. His wife is Pooja Deol and they have two children. His cousin Abhay Deol is also currently an actor. He always wanted to be an actor being the son of the famous actor, Dharmendra. Sunny finished his schooling from Sacred Heart High School, Santacruz (Mumbai). He attended Podar College in Matunga (Mumbai).
Sunny Deol had a superhit debut in his home production 'Betaab' (1983). He went through a lean phase for a couple of years until 'Arjun' (1985). What followed were a bunch of hits in 'Paap Ki Duniya' (1988), 'Tridev' (1989), 'Chaalbaaz' (1989), etc. His defining moment as an actor came with another home production 'Ghayal' (1990), a film that won him the National award for the Best actor along with the Filmfare Award for the Best Actor.
Sunny Deol delivered huge hits through the nineties in 'Narsimha' (1991), 'Lootere' (1993), 'Damini' (1993), 'Darr' (1993). His supporting actor role of a drunk lawyer in 'Damini' (1993) fetched him all the awards and accolades in Bollywood. In the mid nineties he delivered five big hits in a row - 'Jeet' (1996), 'Ghatak' (1996), 'Ajay' (1996), 'Ziddi' (1997) and 'Border' (1997).
Sunny Deol's biggest blockbuster till date came in the year 2001, with the all time blockbuster 'Gadar - Ek Prem Katha'. The film shattered all records at the Indian box-office. Sunny continued his streak with 'Indian' (2001) and 'The Hero' (2003). Among his last few movies 'Apne' (2007) and 'Heroes' (2008) have done well.

Sunny Deol made his directorial debut with Dillagi (1998) starring himself, younger brother Bobby Deol and Urmila Matondkar. The film wasn't a box office success but won him critical acclaim for his very first directorial attempt.
Sunny Deol is directing his second film starring himself, titled 'The Man', slated for a 2009 release.
